Who is Pierre DELIGNIERE? Qui est Pierre DELIGNIERE?

The drawing above, by the famous artist LASKAL,
shows how Pierre was mature as a baby.

Breton Pierre DELIGNIERE was born in Paris,
some time ago, last century.
But deep inside, he was uneasy being born in Paris,
even though it was down the brae of 'Butte Montmartre'.
- First of all, he was feeling Celt,
- Second, he was the son of a Captain,
- Third, his uncle lived in Canada.
Are not all these features showing that
Pierre had to join Celtic Europe?
Indeed, when 6 months of age, he had that only idea:
meeting back with his (square) roots.
After erring in the whole of Brittany,
he eventually settled in Quimper, at the age of 3 years and a half.
near what foreigners call land's end,
BUT Celtic countries are ON THE FORE of the land!
AND THAT WAS A WISE DECISION,
BUT ALSO ONE OF HIS DESTINIES!

INDEED, at Quimper, Pierre studied nature
on the ground, at the countryside,
sharing dreams and songs of the many birds, keen on mother Earth.
At the age of 4, he brought home 2 little wild kitties.
This explains his fascination for geology!
Why? Because he found the kitties in a cave!
He then studied math and physics at Brest university,
but in the meanwhile DRAWING and PAINTING
at 'L'ECOLE DES BEAUX ARTS DE QUIMPER'
where he met his MASTER, Jean LE MERDY.
ACTUALLY, Master Jean, now 'PEINTRE DE LA MARINE',
was silent, just a few words, the right ones,
pointing out your mistakes,
showing you the mouvements to draw with your pencil or your brush,
leading to the right HARMONY of your first masterpieces!
WELL Jean LE MERDY made you feel it was masterpieces!
WHAT A GREAT TIME IT WAS!

Pierre DELIGNIERE, nowadays.
What a dramatic change!
Pierre aujourd’hui:
Quel changement spectaculaire!

The famous painter LASKAL
(you do not see him!)
sketching Pierre DELIGNIERE,
himself sketching the coast of Fife (SCOTLAND).

ONE STEP BEYOND! NO, it is not Madness!
Pierre DELIGNIERE was painting Brittany for years, SECRETLY.
Thanks to the Breton poet Pierre KEREBEL,
laureate of the 'ACADEMIE FRANCAISE',
Pierre began to show his paintings, seducing a LARGE public!
(I must say that you cannot find someone more modest than Pierre).
BUT WHAT A STORY!
Seeing Pierre DELIGNIERE paintings,
Pierre KEREBEL began to write poems ... on Pierre's paintings.
The final step resulted in publishing a book together:
'ROMANCE GAELIQUE' (to be found online).
Thank you Pierre KEREBEL, who did not know
Pierre DELIGNIERE would enlarge his Celtic Universe!
Indeed, Pierre relived BRITTANY-SCOTLAND Association,
being its president since 2000,
and, in love with SCOTLAND, MADE IT HIS SECOND HOME!
So, now Pierre is painting both Brittany AND Scotland,
in his own figurative or abstract-figurative style,
inherited from Jean LE MERDY.

ROMANCE GAELIQUE!
Le début d’ne nouvelle carrière? Merci Pierre KEREBEL!
